Question: 946 Bayshore - Is this a buildable lot for a 3/2 bedroom single family home?
Answer:  Please contact the local building department for specific building related questions.

Question: 946 Bayshore - What is the street access to this property?
Answer: An official survey would need to be obtained by the purchaser to determine exact street access, easements, and dimensions.

Question: 946 Bayshore - Are all utilities available?
Answer: Please contact the local utility companies to confirm utility availability.  Florida Power &  Light, and Englewood Water District.

Question: 5405 San Juan - Does this property have to be purchased with cash?
Answer: No, the county will accept financing offers so long as the buyer has a pre-approval letter for a vacant lot purchase.

Question: 5511 Bahia Vista - Could a house be build in that lot? if so, are there any restrictions on the type of house that could be build? What size home could be build?
Answer: Please contact the local building department for specific building related questions and confirmation of size/style of home that would be acceptable.

Question: 5405 San Juan - When sealed bids will be opened? 09/19? When it's the last day to send a bid?
Answer: The county collects bids for a 30 day time period which began on 8/18.   They review bids on or after the 30 days.   We encourage you to send in your bid ASAP and not wait until the last minute.

Question: 633 Hancock - Is there a minimum bid for this property?
Answer: The listing price is the minimum bid, however, bids below the minimum may be used to lower the initial bid price for the next round of bidding.

Question: When does the 30 day window close?  is it different for each property?
Answer: All 16 properties were listed on 8/19/2019.  9/18/2019 would be 30 days.  The county will begin opening the sealed bids on or after that day.  They have the option of extending this timeline if no acceptable bids are received for a property within that initial 30 day timeline.

Question:  316 E. Langsner - Are there utilities already on the lot (it appears it was a tear down)? Is there a clear title?
Answer:  There was a prior house on the property so utilities should be to the site, however, you would need to contact the local utility company to confirm.  You may purchase a title policy to confirm clear title prior to closing.

Question: 1675 Mackeral St - From 17th st. to the fence is it 53 ft? And what are the setback for this lot please?
Answer: County Property Appraiser lists this is 53', however, a survey would be the only way to determine exact dimensions.  Please contact Sarasota County Building Department to determine setback guidelines for this lot.

Question:
Hi, I was wondering if it's possible to see the other bids on the property as they come in, so my buyer isn't just blindly throwing an offer out to be potentially rejected due to a higher bid. Thank you.
Answer: I'm sorry no.  The bids are sealed bids so as to not show any other buyer bids.

Question:  Are there "deed restrictions" on this property?
A: To my knowledge there are no restrictions, but it is the buyer's responsibility to confirm.

A: You pay what you bid, example $22,000

Question: 5405 San Juan - Are all the land or lot properties you are in charge of for the county zoned government use? if so, that requires an individual to have the property rezoned at a cost of $7500.00 or more, a minimum of two public hearings, at a time frame of 6 months before you could even build on the lot. Shouldn't this be public information in the description of the properties? Did you know this?
Answer:  This is the only one zoned GU.  I don’t think the zoning will be changed since this is zoned GU.  But I will ask zoning.  I don’t think there’s anything else we can do though.

Question: 633 Hancock -
Walked the property and measured from the N setback to the drainage swale 47'. Would the county allow a house to be positioned perpendicular to the street? Does SWFLWMD have jurisdiction over the drainage swale?
Answer: You would need to contact the local building and stormwater departments regarding any type of building approvals and the drainage easement.

Question: 946 Bayshore Dr - Is this property in a scrub-jay Habitat? Where is the street access? Is the easement to the airport property the 26'? How can a plane with a 40' wingspan get onto the airport?
Answers: We are unsure if the property is in Scrub Jay Habitat or on the official list.  It is buyer's responsibility to determine.
Street access is from Osceola Dr which borders the airport.
We do not have an official survey to determine width of the access point.  That would need to be obtained by the purchaser to determine accessibility of their specific aircraft.
